Happy Birthday Mom!!!
My mom had her __ birthday this past Sunday. :) Don't worry, I won't share your age, even though your are still sooo young and most people think that you are my older sister :) We celebrated by the family coming over to our house for lunch, cake, and presents. We had a great time but unfortunately I forgot to take a lot of pictures. :( JR actually took all of them. I hope that you had a GREAT birthday mom and I love you so much!! I am so blessed to have such a loving, caring, understanding, patient, and godly mother who I can share life with. You mean the world to me and we love you bunches!!! ps. Olivia said she loves you too!!!!!!
A Little Bit of This and a Little Bit of That
Over the past few days I had taken a few random pics of Olivia so I figured it was time to update the blog again. Here are few things that she is doing.... and a few things that she probably shouldn't be doing..haha

Mrs. O has discovered how to unroll the toilet paper....and let me say that she does it a lot!! I am bad at letting her unroll it for a source of entertainment while I am getting ready. However, Daddy is usually not happy about the 'wasted' toilet paper so we won't be doing this anymore....haha :)

Whenever I get the camera out she puts on a huge smile and comes right to it!! So I have to take my pictures fast :)

Decided to take a walk tonight and thought we would be sweet and take Charlie with us (he doesn't get out much these days...poor guy) After about 10 minutes, our VERY out of shape dog looked like he was about to pass out so this is how we spent the second half of our walk! haha
I let Olivia try some yummy chocolate pudding and she loved it. This is the face that she made every time it took me just a minute too long to give her another bite! My goodness!! She sure is cute though :)
Caught her today totting around 2 of her sippy cups. One with milk and one with water. I guess you can never have enough to drink. :) She loves to carry around anything she can get her hands on, especially her sippy cup. She like to drink it and walk. So this was just the perfect situation!

Ooohhhhh, I love the camera!!

And we are off :)

Priceless

I need some practice
Today was the first time that I tried to put Olivia's hair in a little ponytail sprout on top of her head, and let me be the first to say that I need some practice!! She screamed the entire time and it turned out not looking so hot, but here is a pic of my big girl with her first little pom pom on her head. :) Too cute, if I don't say so myself :)

(This is her new best friend that must go everywhere with us)
12 Month Check Up
Olivia had her 12 month check up last week and everything went great! We just love her pediatrician who is always so positive and uplifting :) Olivia's body type has definitely changed a lot since she was a baby. We used to call her out little chunky monkey, but I am afraid now that we have quickly changed that to our skinny minnie :) From the time she was born until she was 7 months old, she was always in the 80 - 90% for weight and height. Around 8 months she really started to drop on the weight end but keeps on growing on the height side. At her 12 month appointment she wasWeight : 21.1 lbs (51%)
Height: 30 1/2 in. (90%)
We have a tall, skinny, girl on our hands. She had to get her tow pricked but surprisingly didn't even make a sound. She just watched the nurse. I was so excited because I thought maybe she won't get too upset this time. But.... she screamed when the Dr. listened to her heart beat, when she layed her down, when she looked in her mouth, when the looked in her ears, and needless to say but when she got her 3 shots. Oh well. She did recover very quickly though this time. :)
A few things that I want to remember about my 12 month old :)
~Love to walk and crawl everywhere. You would much rather be walking than crawling
~Like to throw your yellow ball (the only color ball that she will play with) and then crawl to go get it
~Like to play Patty Cake, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and Ride a Little Horsey
~Want to feed yourself and will not let me feed you ANY baby food. Some favorites right now are pancakes, muffins, peaches, blueberries, cheese sandwiches, green beans, yogurt, beans, and peas. Some favorite snacks are teddy grams, cheese puffs, raisins, and goldfish.
~You are down to 1 bottle a day that we give at night. The rest of the day is sippy cup. You are not a big fan of milk out of a sippy cup!! Most of the time you will hold up your cup to see whats in it. If its milk you will put it to the side, but if its water you will drink it....haha
~Like drinking out of a big girl straw
~Think it is fun, when we put you down at night, to get up and walk around your crib and play for a little while before you go to bed :)

Happy 4 Years!
Happy 4 Year Anniversary J.R.!!! I know that I am a little bit late posting this since our anniversary was actually July 1, but when your child's birthday happens to fall 1 day before our anniversary, it sometimes can get overlooked. :) I knew that this might happen so J.R. and I decided to postpone our anniversary celebration. So yesterday, J.R.'s wonderful parents watched Olivia and we had a date day and night! First on the list was a couples massage which was wonderful!! Then we were off to my favorite restraraunt, Ruth's Chris, and then headed to a movie. As much as I missed Olivia, it was so nice to get to spend the afternoon just J.R. and I.

I love you so much hubby!! You are such a truly amazing husband and father that sometimes it really does amaze me!!! Happy 4th Annerversary and I pray for MANY MANY more!!
In the taxi, in NY, about to get engaged :) Just don't know it yet

My dad with some funny glasses on! :)
Happy 4th of July
Last year on the 4th, we had just come home from the hospital with Livi and didn't really want to get her out anywhere. So this year we decided to head out to First Baptist's Big Freedom Festival! It is such a great outreach and they have so many things to do for kids to do and a wonderful fireworks show for all. We didn't know how Livi would do since the fireworks weren't til 9, but with the help of my parents, she did great and loved the fireworks. She watched all 15 minutes of them in amazement. :) Hope everyone had a wondnerful 4th of July!!

Party Time!
On Saturday we celebrated Olivia's first birthday party with some close friends and family. :) It turned out to be a beautiful day, which was perfect for a party and a little pool time. I truly felt so blessed to have so many family members and friends come to celebrate with us the first year of Olivia's life. Even though the party seemed to fly by, I tried to cherish every minute of it!! We started the party off by eating some yummy food courtesy of me, my mom, and J.R.'s mom.

After lunch it was time for some yummy cake! My sister Ashley made Livi's big and small cake and they turned out adorable!! I just loved them and they sure did taste great!! Olivia definitely seemed to enjoy it and dug right in!! I think that she ate more cake than she did actual food. :)

Livi, her Big John, and my granddad
A few friends that came to play.... SG
and CP
Livi checking out some presents and her tutu before we ate some cake. This is outfit number 1 out of 4 for the party...haha. I made this one for her. :)
Livi's godsister Mary Lee. Sorry Ash, that your face got cut off in the picture. Next time we will have to get a picture with all of us in it. :)
*Side note: this is such a typical picture. Olivia is making faces and squirming to get down, while Mary Lee just calmly sits there waiting to have her picture taken :) So sweet

Her party hat I made her :) She was not to fond of it.

The only family picture that we took. I love this one because JR and I are smiling at the camera while Olivia tries to eat her cake. haha

Yummmmm!
After cake, it was time for some present opening! Olivia did not want to have much to do with it. She just wanted to play with all the toys that Mary Lee had in her hands. Oh my! Olivia is one blessed little girl and she received some very sweet and thoughtful gifts from family and friends! We really appreciate everything that everyone did for her. :) This is the only present that Olivia actually opened with me.
VERY tired!!
Then we headed outside to do a little bit of swimming. Olivia enjoyed getting to swim with her god sister Mary Lee! Livi loved watching Mary Lee and playing with all of her toys. Ha. Mary Lee was the best baby inthe pool and just loves to float and look around! She is just adorable and it melts my heart to see these two little girls playing together. :)
Daddy and Livi
This is the swim suit that my Aunt made Olivia for her birthday. It is just adorable and I will try and get a better picture of it soon. Here are both daddies with their girls. :)
Checking each other out :)

Happy First Birthday Olivia Love!!! We love you more than you will ever know! :)
