15 months and 3 Years

My little girls are getting soo big and sometimes I just don't know what to think about this. We had their checkups for school this past week and everything went great! I was beyond glad that Livi did not have to get any shots but they did throw us for a curve when she had to get her finger pricked. Thankfully she did great and didn't shed a tear. Anna Kayt on the other hand cried from the minute the doctor walked in until the minute we got in the car. :) When this child is upset it can make for a LONG doctor's appointment. Olivia measured 39 1/2 inches (90% percentile) and weighs a whopping 30 lbs (40% percentile) !! We finally made the jump to the big 30!! :) I think that with all of the screaming that Anna Kayt was doing that they measured her height incorrectly but she measured at 33 inches (95% percentile) and 21 pounds, 7 ounces (43% percentile). Anna Kayt just seems like my little child, all over, small feet, hands, etc. I just do not see how she is in the 90th percentile but maybe I just can't see it since she is my baby :) I guess I just want her to stay small and cuddly! :) J.R. and I are both so thankful and feel so incredibly blessed to raise these two happy healthy girls!!

One nice thing about daddy being a dentist is that dental visits aren't at all scary! We decided a few weeks ago that Livi needed to get her teeth cleaned for the first time and so did I, so we loaded up and headed to office and did just that. While Anna Kayt terrorized the office, Livi and I had our teeth cleaned and it went great! Courtney cleaned mine and J.R. cleaned Livi's. I could hear her in the other room just laughing and having a great time. Thankfully Betsy took some good pictures for me. :)

No dental appointment is complete without a toy from the treasure box!

Getting some big girl x-rays. I was shocked she let J.R. do this!

Anna Kayt..... enough said :)

A girl after my own heart!

This summer Olivia has started taking BALLET! Yay!! I think that secretly I am way more excited about it than she is. :) She has really enjoyed it but I think that her favorite part is taking tap. She LOVES it! We just bought her her very first pair of tap shoes and she wears them everywhere, to target, to the playground, riding around in the car, in her bed....you name it, she wears them there. :) Somethings just aren't worth the fight to take them off :) For the last summer class of ballet they allowed parents to come in and watch and see their progress. Sisa joined me and we got to see Miss. Priss show off her dance skills. :) She actually did really well, she listened, payed attention, and did most of the moves. I was one proud mommy. :) I think that Livi was the most excited about Sisa being there to watch, she kept looking at her to make sure that Sisa was seeing everything that she did :) We just signed up to take dance for the upcoming school year so hopefully she will continue to enjoy it for the rest of the year and beyond!! :)

Baby Shower

Today I hosted a baby shower for my sweet best friend Chandler. To everyones surprise, she is having a little BOY this September! I can't wait to get my hands on this little guy!! We had a brunch baby shower today with some of Chandlers closest friends and turned out perfectly! Wish that I had remembered to take more pictures but this will have to do for now. :)
Love you Chan!!

Chandler's dress was Adorable!!! Loved it!!

Happy 3rd Birthday!!

I cannot believe my baby is officially 3 years old!! Over the past year she has really turned into a new little person. She is such a sweet helper, has such kind heart, can be timid but outgoing, and so loving! She loves to dance, sing, play her drums, wear her Rapunzel dress ALL the time, braid her hair (or brave as Olivia would say). She loves going to ballet and showing me her dance moves, changes clothes about 5 times a day, and wants to do any and everything that mommy does, including putting on makeup and fixing her hair...oh goodness! Even though life can be challenging at times, if I could freeze her at this age I would :)

This year, Olivia decided that she wanted to have a Rapunzel party, and so that is exactly what we did!

Now its Riley's turn to paint ;)

Look who showed up and Livi's party.... Flynn Rider!!! She was beyond excited that Daddy dressed up!! She still talks about it all time. She even told me today that her best friend was Flynn Rider her daddy and that is who she was going to marry :)

So proud of her face painting :)

Happy 3rd Birthday Olivia!! Mommy and Daddy love you thissss much!!!

I also wanted to include a few 'Livisms' as I call them, just some funny things that she has said to me over the past few weeks that I want to be able to remember and tell her about when she is older :)

~When I went to wake her up one morning she had a very concerned look on her face. When I asked her what was wrong she said "Mommy I have a big problem". I asked her what it was "she looked around her room and said "I don't have any toys in my room" I guess to a 2 year old that could be a really big problem.
~Put her arm around my neck and told me "Mommy, your my best friend ever" :)
~Everything is "Super Cool"
~I told Livi that I wanted her hair and she gave a very concerned look and said "how bout I just give you a kiss instead" :)
~I guess I blame a lot of the toy stealing that Anna Kayt does on her age because when AK tried to play with Livi the other day Livi looked at me and said "She's not a baby anymore so I want her to leave me alone" Guess she knew what I was going to say.
~"Kapunzel" Rapunzel
~"Kabana" Banana
~Livis Dinner Prayer "God is great, close your eyes, thank you God for daily bread, Amen"
~"I'm so much proud of you"
~When I was getting on her nerves she said "You're killing me mommy!"
~When she gets tired "Whew, I need to take a breather"
