Merry Christmas

Santa Clause came and left Olivia a few toys for Christmas this year!
She is starting to love sitting in her anywhere chair. This is by far, one of my favorite gifts that Ho Ho brought her.
Merry Christmas!
Christmas morning, we had both of our parents come over for a big Christmas breakfast. They got to spend a little time with Olivia and watch her play with a few of her toys. She even attempted to ride her new power wheels in the den. I think she will get the hang of this when it gets a little bit warmer outside. It was so nice to start our Christmas mornings off with both sets of parents! :) Those are the times that I realize how truly blessed we are with family.
After breakfast, showers, and getting ready, we headed to my parents house so that we could open presents with them. Olivia got a new table and chairs and a tea party set to go with it. She enjoyed having everyone sit around the table with her and drink tea and eat desserts! :)
There is nothing like a tea party with Daddy!
I love love love this picture!
One happy girl!
We then headed to my Aunt's house for our big family get together. We had a huge lunch, took a family picture (about 28 of us) in the snow, and then wrapped the day up with a little dirty santa game. Livi enjoyed getting to open her presents and when she was done, she kept signing 'more' and saying 'mo'. She was so excited to see lots of elmo presents and purses!!

My cousin Stephanie and I. I am 24 weeks and she is 35. Not much longer for her. :)
After this, we headed to the Millington's house to open presents with them. Olivia's cousin Kaley helped her open a few of her gifts. :)
Elmo DVD!!!!
She was pretty tired by the time we got to the Millingtons, so a big bowl full of mix helped us get through some of the present opening.
Our first ever snow on Christmas morning. The snow really made for such a beautiful Christmas and really helped me to remember and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. Praise our Lord Jesus Christ for coming to this earth to save us. Happy Birthday Jesus!! One of my favorite Christmas songs is 'Winter Snow' and it was soo fitting for yesterday. Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

Not a Friend of Ho Ho's

This past Thursday we decided to finally go and get Olivia's picture taken with Ho Ho. We had just come from the pediatrics office and discovered that she had her very first ear infection so we knew that she probably wouldn't be in the best mood. Poor little girl! Here is her reaction to Santa.....
I don't think so!!!!
If no one is coming to get me, then I am going to get down myself!!
Other than Santa, she surprisingly had a good time. She loved looking at all the fish and looking around the store and we all had a great lunch at their too cute little pioneer cafe. All in all, we got a classic santa picture and had a fun little family outing!

A Day at the Park in December

Last week it was actually warm enough for us to go to the park! It was in the low 60's so we didn't even have to bundle up all that much! It was a beautiful day and I think that Olivia just enjoyed being able to get out of the house. The first thing she saw was the swing and went running to it. It was her long lost friend :)

Snack Time :)

Baby Sophie

My cousin is having a little girl in a few short weeks and so we had a baby shower for her here in Birmingham about a month ago ( I am very late in posting this!!) We had such a great time just getting to see each other and just spend some time with family!! Can't wait to meet sweet Sophie!
Steph is about 30 weeks and I am about 20 weeks!

Merry Christmas!

These past few weeks have been very busy for us with all of the christmast festivities, but when you throw the stomach bug into it as well, it makes for an even more interesting past week. Needless to say, we have not gotten out of the house much lately so I haven't had too many pictures to take or things to blog about. But before the bug took out Olivia and I, here are a few shots of some Christmas cheer :)

This is the Millington's annual Christmas cookie decorating get together. Yay for cookies!!!

Yummmmm!
Olivia is nowhere to be seen in the last picture because after devouring 2 cookies topped with icing, she is now sorting through and organizing all of the sprinkles in the box behind Miah. :)
On a side note.... we were so glad that JR, Miah, and Payt sat down to decorate a few. We were all very impressed in Payts decorating ability :) (he really is good!!!) and I was not shocked to see that ALL of JR and Miah's cookies were orange and blue with Cam Newtons number written all over them :) Gotta love Auburn!

One of the attempts at getting a picture of all of us for their Christmas card. Livi really was in a good mood, I just think she was little confused :)

Good Little Patients

These two little guys had so much fun at the dentist office last week! They played in the chairs, suctioned their mouths (which both of them thought was hilarious!!!), and ran up and down the hallways, having an absolute blast. I hope that these two will be good little friends one day and I hope that both of their new little sisters will be too :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

This Thanksgiving we were able to spend some time with my dad's side of the family who we usually don't get to see very much. We ate lunch with them and then headed to the Millington's for dinner. We were Very full after a long day of eating but truly enjoyed every minute of getting to spend precious time with both of our families! Olivia got about a 20 minute nap all day but surprisingly she was in a great mood. I guess when you are the center of attention all day long, that helps. :) Now on to the Christmas festivities!! Sorry for not having any pictures, I am really getting worse at remembering to take my camera everywhere. This is the only picture that I took. It is JR on Thanksgiving morning hooking up his treasured Play Station 3 that we borrowed from his brother. He is drilling in the wall so that we could run some wires!! Ended up doing a great job!! ( He is going to kill me when he sees that I posted this) :)

Big 16 months old!!

I say this because I think that Olivia really does feel like she is a Big girl!! She wants to do everything that we do and will not have it any other way!! Her personality has definitly blossomed in the last few months. With that has come many tantrums and testing of our limits. (Ex. as I am typing this blog, she is looking at me as she is toughing the Christmas tree to see what I will do. Oh the joys of a 1 year old) I will have to say though, that when she is in a happy mood, I absolutely love this age!! She can be so sweet and soo loving. She is a big kiss giver and kiss blower! She will blow a kiss to anyone that she sees :) I love it when she runs to me to give her a hug and likes to play with her toys with me, and roll around on the floor and play chase with daddy. It really is such a sweet age.
As of right now, she can say several words like, Momie(mom), dada, momo (elmo), shush (shoes), tree, no, eat, choo choo (train), duck, and a few others that I just can't think of right now. She can repeat many different words when we say them to her but she doesn't repeat them yet over and over. She can point to her nose, ears, sticks out her tongue on que, feet, shoes, hair, hairbow, teeth, and belly button. :) She is doing please, more, and all done in sign language. Her favorite way to eat any kind of food is by dipping it in anything and loves to have her own big girl cup with a straw, which usually ends up making for a really big mess! She loves wearing her sunglasses all day long, loves to put on her Elmo slippers, and could be outside all day long.

War Eagle!!
Our favorite Elmo slippers! (and of course my cell phone)
She loves to help me vacuum the carpet. She likes to hold it all by herself. On a side note, the paci is our newest toy. She stopped taking one when she was about 3 months old but a few weeks ago she found them in her old diaper bag. She loves to walk around the house with it and loves it in the car. She still uses her lovey to go to sleep though. I would take it away but she just looks so cute :) and I figure that she will probably want one again in a few months when Anna Kayt gets here :)

20 weeks!

Well, after our second ultrasound, we have determined that it is definitely a girl!! Everything looked great with Anna Kaytlin and we couldn't be more excited! We got to see all of the little organs and even a sneak peak at her in 4d!! She kept those hands up by her face so there wasn't much to see but arms. The ultrasound tech said.. 'look at how long and skinny this baby is'. You know when they are amazed by something, it must be a big deal :) Looks like we are going to have another tall child, like Olivia :) Just by looking at the ultrasound pics, she really does look soooo long!! We will just have to wait until April to see. We are just now starting to think about getting ready to have two kids.... it sounds weird to even say it. It is almost time to start decorating and setting up Livi's big girl room in preparation for Anna Kayt to be in the nursery. :) Everything has been going great with the pregnancy so far....minus the fact that you show a lot earlier with the second :( Anyways, here are some pics of our new little girl!!!

Shutterfly Christmas Cards

I am so excited this year about using Shutterfly for my Christmas cards. I love love love their quality pictures and have ordered many really cute things from them. This year I am going to have a hard time choosing which of these cards to order but, hey if its free, then that makes it even more fun to shop!!! One of my favorite things that I have ordered from them was a grandparent brag book that I made when Olivia was born. It was so quick and easy and they turned out great. I only wish that I had ordered myself one as well. :) I have also ordered anything from mouse pads, calendars, 4 x 6 pictures, and canvases. And you really can't beat the prices! I plan on using these cards to send out to family and friends this Christmas season with pictures of our family. :) I really like this card, but there are just so many to choose from, it is going to be such a hard decision!

Happy Halloween!!

Sunday night we headed out to FBCT trunk or treat. This year Olivia went as a bumble bee and if I dont' say so myself, she looked pretty cute all dressed up :) I did have a great idea (well, I stole it from a friend) that Livi would be a bumble bee, I would be the queen bee, and JR would be the bee keeper. :) Somehow I never got mine and JR's outfits together so maybe we can try again next year! We can just have 2 bumble bees then. Here is Livi all dressed up and ready to eat lots of candy (or as you can see, all she wants are the suckers)

Happy Halloween!!! We are now getting ready to gear up for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Christmas decorations may be making an appearance this year a little before Thanksgiving :) I just can't wait :)
