8 Months Old

It is hard to believe that my sweet little girl is already 8 months old!! She is really starting to develop her own personality and learning so many new things. At 8 months, Olivia has 2 teeth on the bottom and she is sitting up wonderfully! She usually does not topple over unless she gets upset and wants someone to pick her up. I have also learned over the past few months that I have a very needy little girl. :) She loves loves loves to be held, which I think is why she is not crawling yet. She is not a fan of her tummy and will cry whenever we put her on her stomach so I really don't know if she will ever be a crawler. She likes to stand up and hold onto things but hasn't quite figured out yet how to move those feet. :) She loves to play with toys, blinds (haha), our dog Charlie, and anything else she can get her hands on. She is still drinking 5 bottles a day but not very much each time. She prefers food to her bottle and does not want to take much of her bottle. She loves her new yogurt melts, puffs, and mum mums. She also likes to drink out of a big girl cup (not a sippy cup). She always reaches for our glass to drink out of. She loves her bath time but doesn't like getting ready for bed. She is taking 3 naps a day that last from 45 minutes - 2 hours. She is the best baby when it comes to sleep because she wants to be laid down. I just give her her lovey blanket and she lays in her crib and goes to sleep. It is Wonderful! She is sleeping about 11 - 11.5 hours a night.

This little girls loves her daddy. She is saying 'dadadada' all day long. We are still working on 'mama' but that is not happening. She loves to see her daddy when he gets home from work. She laughs more at night with JR than I think she does all day with me. :) She thinks he is soo funny and loves all the games that he plays with her. Her favorite (sorry JR) is when he barks at her like Charlie does..... haha. It is hysterical!! She is definitely going to be a daddy's girl. She loves her puppy! She laughs every time he barks (which is a lot!!!) and loves when he plays catch with us. She usually lights up every time she sees him which is soo sweet.


Well, I guess that this was bound to happen sooner or later. I walked in Olivia Loves room after her nap, to find that she has totally messed up her bumper pad. haha. She sure was having fun though. :) This sweet little girl is just getting too big for me.

These are a few things that I made for a friend's baby shower :) I just love my new machine and have really enjoyed sewing here lately. So much fun!

My Bags are Packed

We had a big weekend here at the Millington home. We began the weekend with Olivia Loves very first spend the night out trip. She was soo excited :) and got to spend Sat. night with her Grumps and Wisa. After packing what seemed like the entire house we were ready to go!!!

Olivia spent the night out because J.R. and I had to be up VERY early the next morning for his Mercedes Marathon run. J.R. ran the half marathon that he has been training for for a long time. He did an amazing job!! He finished 31st in his age group and was overall 254 th out of thousands of people!! He ran it in 1 hour and 40 minutes at a 7:40 pace. This was his first half and Olivia and I are both soo soo proud of him. Go Daddy!!!

After a long weekend... we needed a much relaxing bathtime with some of our new toys from B and Big John :)

Fun in a Box

I just had to post these pictures that we took last night. JR's sweet mom bought Olivia a new bath tub and toy holder for Valentine's day and so we ended up with a huge box to play in. Olivia was very fussy last night but the minute we put her in the box she just stared at it and wanted to play. She loved playing peek a boo with her daddy when he would open and close the top of it (don't worry.... we only closed the box for a second) :)

Olivia's new tub is the kind that you sit up in so that she can play. Her old tub is the one where she lays on her back. Last night during her bath she kept throwing her self backwards trying to lay down during her bath. She just couldn't figure out why she was sitting up?? Needless to say she was not very happy during her bath but hopefully she will figure out her new tub before long. :) She is just getting so big that sometimes it just makes me a little sad. I wanted to post some updates about her at 7 1/2 months since I haven't done this in a while.

~Loves to sit up and play

~She wants to crawl but still can't figure it out. She has just started to really kick her legs when she is laying on her tummy. Hopefully she will figure it out here before long.

~She loves to be held ALL the time. I try not to let it bother me because I know there will be a day when she doesn't want me to hold her anymore. So I am trying to enjoy every minute of it.

~ She has started to get shy when she meets new people. She will hide her face beside mine and peek out at them.

~She loves bath time but screams the minute we start getting her ready for bed. She HATES putting her PJ's on.

~She loves all of the food that we have given her so far. She really likes green beans, squash, pears, and apples. We also have been giving her the star puffs from Gerber and she could eat these all day long. She loves them.

~She is still eating 5 times a day

~ She takes 3 naps that last about 30 minutes to 2 hours. They are usually 30 minutes though :(

At night she usually is asleep by 7:30 and wakes up in the morning about 7 or 7:30. We are enjoying our 12 hours nights :)

That is all that I can think of right now but I am sure I will think of some more. :) I hope that everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day this weekend!!

This is a picture of our crazy dog. I think that Charlie really thinks that he is a person like us. Olivia was on the floor playing with a toy and I guess Charlie thought that he should be on the floor with her.... so he brought his toy on the floor too and played beside her. Oh goodness!!! Olivia just starred at him. Charlie has also recentely started to treat O like she is a person. He will run up to her and drop his toy in her lap wanting her to throw it for him. After a while he gets frustrated and walks away. Poor dog. I have a feeling he is not going to like Olivia very much when she starts crawling and chasing after him.

War Eagle!!!

War Eagle!!!! After about 5 outfit changes in one day.... due to spit up, drool, you name it.... we ended our night in our very first Auburn Toomer's Corner t -shirt. It was a little bit big but we had fun anyways. She loved wearing her comfy shirt and supporting the Auburn tigers :) Maybe when we wear this shirt next year during football season AU will win a few games. :)

I have been a slacker at taking pictures here lately and I realized at 7:30 pm that I had not taken any pictures of Olivia on her 7 month birthday :) I have tried to take pictures at each month so that I will remember what she looked like each month. She just changes so fast. So here are the 7 months pictures that we took right after bath time just before bed. :) Maybe I will do better next time.

Here are just a few of Olivia Love's 6 month pictures from Ashley Warren. They turned out soo cute and I was so excited to get to see them yesterday. :) Olivia was great during the whole thing and just loved laughing at her daddy. I tried to get to smile a few times but all she wanted was her daddy to make some funny noises. :) She loves to hear him bark like a dog... haha. That is how we got most of these smiles out of O.
