Little bit behind on our checkup

Today was our 9 month checkup. We are just a little bit behind since Olivia is about to be 10 months old. Oh well. Overall it was a pretty good check up. She only had to get one shot which made the day a whole lot better :) Livi is still my tall little girl... she is 29 1/4 inches long (88th percentile) and weighs 20.7 pounds (66th percentile). I have been so concerned over the past few weeks about Olivia not crawling but after speaking to her pediatrian about it... I feel MUCH better. :) I needed confirmation from her that everything was ok. I tend to let the enemy creep into my thoughts and stir up anxiety and worry, which I know are not from God. Even though we are not crawling yet, Olivia has gotten very good at army crawling in a circle :) , walking while holding onto my hands, and standing up playing. Olivia is just not a fan of being of her tummy at ALL! Her doctor thinks she will one of those babies that just walks before she learns to crawl. :)

After our appointment we decided to meet Daddy for some dinner and then we headed to the Basement at Church of the Highlands!! If you have never come to the Basement before it is such a great ministry that we have here in Birmingham! It is truly amazing to see so many people, both old and young, come together to worship. It's main focus is evangelism in the metro area and they have turned thousands of lives for Christ! I hope that you will pray for this ministry to continue to grow and reach thousands more. We didn't get home until about 9:15 and we had one tired little girl on our hands :) Please notice the tag hanging out of her mouth. She will not take a pacifier and so she likes to suck on the tag of her lovey to go to sleep ... haha. :)

What happened?

Well let me start this blog by saying that yesterday was an interesting day and if dirty diapers bother you then you may not want to read on. :) Yesterday morning we started out the day by Olivia peeing out of her diaper while she slept the night before. No fun. A few hours later after we had eaten and played I thought that I smelled something a little stinky...ewww. So to my surprise it was one of those amazing diapers that goes all the way up the back ....gag!! After wiping my child down, I put her on the floor mat in the bathroom so that I could run her bath water, where she then decided to pee on the mat. OMG! I just decided that it was time to laugh! :) All of this to say, that all of this combined still does not add up to what happened last night. JR was changing O's diaper and he likes to play a fun game with her where he makes funny noises and changes her diaper really fast and she thinks it is sooo funny. Well, I guess that JR had no clue that she had yet another dirty diaper because all I heard from across the house was AMY!!! When I walked in O's room, all I saw was poop everywhere!!! He had ripped her diaper off so fast it had flown all over the room!!! It was on JR, the walls, the floor, on her new clothes, and even on the CEILING. I started cracking up. I mean what else do you do. Please keep in mind we were both dressed and ready for a party at this point. So after wiping poop off everything, including getting out a ladder to get it off the ceiling, and changing clothes, we were finally off to our party! I will spare you any pictures but welcome to a fun day in the lives of the Millingtons :)

On another note, Olivia Love and I did get to take stroll with our 2 friends on this beautiful day! (SG is in her stroller asleep in the middle)
C. loved walking around Olivia in circles and trying to play with her. Olivia loved to just watch C. and all the things he could do. Maybe he can teach her to crawl :) haha.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!! We had such a great Easter this year and we were so blessed to get to spend some time with both of our families. Olivia really enjoyed getting to be outside in the warm weather and loved getting all of the attention from her grandparents. We didn't get to do any egg hunts this year but I know that there will be many of them in our near future! :) Olivia wore a pink smocked dress that I made for her last week but I think that next year I may try my hand at french hand sewing. I just love those beautiful lace dresses and bonnets!

Olivia loves being outside in her wagon! She had so much fun while Big John pulled her around the property!

Family Picture at my parent's house
She loves her Uncle Will and loves to clap those hands together. Uncle Will just taught her how to clap her stuffed animals hands together :)

And after a long day of Celebrating Easter, this little girl was exhausted. What a sweet way to end the day :)
