New House!!! Wahoo!!

We are moving to this beautiful house in just a few short weeks!!

We are beyond excited and can't wait to get moved in and settled. :) It is such a cute area of town and sits right in a cul de sac which I am so excited about! I will have to post many new updates once we get moved in and I can actually start decorating..yay! Hopefully the next month of transitions will go smoothly! :)

Happy 5 Years!

Happy 5 year anniversary to the love of my life!!! We have been truly blessed to have each other and I am so glad that we are 'doing life' together! Your humility, character, passion, love, and Christ filled heart make me fall more and more in love with you with each passing day!! I can't wait to see what all God has in store for us in the next 5 years! :) I love you 'this much' :)

Happy 2nd Birthday!!

Or as Olivia would say 'Happy Day' ! This post makes me want to just cry and cry to think that my little baby will be 2 years old tomorrow. I feel like I should still be feeding her a bottle, swaddling her at night, giving her baby food, and cooing at her. Looking at Olivia has really made me treasure my time with Anna Kayt because as silly as this sounds, I now know that they actually do grow up and don't stay a baby forever. With Olivia, I just thought she would be that little forever, but time definitely marches on! We waited, prayed, and cried many days waiting on the Lord to bless us with Olivia. It was a long road for us but I now see how perfect God's timing is! He gave us our perfect princess at the perfect time. She is the light of our lives and I am sooo blessed that I was chosen to be her mommy!
I wanted to post a few things about Livi now that she is about to be 'tuoooo' She is talking and talking and talking! She is starting to string several words together and starting to talk in sentences. Some of my favorite words are

I was worried a little bit at first on how Olivia would handle being a big sister but she has amazed me with how much she loves her sissy! She constantly wants to hold her, feed her, help change diapers, and burp her! I have even caught her several times trying to pick her up all by herself!! Ahh! She has such a sweet and caring spirit and I am so very thankful for this. She loves to hug on her friends (which I am sure gets on their nerves) :) and if they will let her, she will feed them their lunch, hold their sippy cup for them while they drink out of it, and pat them on the back. She loves to love on her friends...haha. Right now, Olivia is going to sleep around 8:30 or 9 and is waking up around 8:15. I am loving it right now!! Especially since Anna Kayt is going to bed at the same time and getting up around 8:45 or 9 in the morning. Halleluia!!!!! Livi is still sleeping in her crib and I think it is going to be a while before we try to transition to her big girl bed. Why mess with something that it working! :)

This past weekend we had Livi's big birthday party! We decided to have a swim party at the Millington's house. All of the kids had such a blast playing outside, helping open presents, and eating lots and lots of red velvet cupcakes made by her B. :)

Beach 2011

Two weeks ago we went to the beach with my mom's side of the family. There were about 24 of us staying in 2 houses next to each other. We had a great time getting to see everyone and getting to spend some quality time with each other. The house was amazing with a great pool in between the houses and even an elevator....which made it very nice since the den was on the 3rd floor! I was pretty nervous about taking the girls to the beach with so many people there, mainly since Anna Kayt doesn't sleep through the night yet. However, she did great, it was Livi who did NOT want to sleep in her pack n play! She ended up sleeping with us most of the time which meant not much sleep for JR and I. I woke up the last morning we were there with Olivia laying her head on my face and trying to put her lovey tag in my mouth. :) Sweet girl! We (my aunts and uncles and parents) did a lot of cooking in for dinner and we did one big dinner out.

All in all, we had such a great beach trip! Don't get me wrong, it was Very tiring but I am so glad that we got to spend some quality time with my family! Can't wait to do it all again next year!!

2 Months Old

My sweet baby is 2 months old!! I am posting this a little late because I really just cannot find time to get on this computer and write. Whenever I find down time, it is usually spent sleeping or zoning out watching the Todays Show. :) I know I should be more productive but life with a 2 month old and 23 month old can be VERY tiring :) Anyways, back to this precious little one! At this months doctor's appointment, Anna Kayt weighed 10 lbs 15oz which is 45% and was 22 inches which is 35%. She is definitely my sweet little baby. She is really starting to develop a little personality as well. She has started to coo and smile, usually after her bottle. It does make me sad though to see how big she has already gotten. She is no longer that tiny newborn anymore. :( Anna Kayt is still eating about every 3 to 3 1/2 hours and takes about 4 ounces each time. Unfortunately she has not been the best sleeper though. We usually feed her around 10 and she was getting up anytime between 3:30 and 4:30...uhhh. However, this past week she has been sleeping until 5:30 ish and last night she actually slept until 8:30!!! We were shocked and sooo excited!! Oh what a difference a good nights sleep can make. She has also officially found her thumb and will put it in her mouth the second her hand gets close to her face. I guess we will just have to wait and see if we are going to have a little thumb sucker on our hands......daddy is not excited..haha. Happy 2 months Anna Kayt!

Let the Play Dates Begin

Yesterday we were so excited to have our buddies Susannah Grace and Mary Lee come over to play!! These girls were so sweet with each other and had so much fun playing outside!

Olivia was little timid with the water...

Mary Lee just wanted to play in the yard and organize the side walk chalk (like mother, like daughter..haha)

but Susannah Grace had a blast in the water! She played and played and played. Even if the water was splashing her straight in the face she would just keep on laughing. :) Too cute!

Sweet Friends! I hope that one day these three girls are blessed to have such meaningful friendships that I have with their mommies!!

As much as this big girl loves her little sister, occasionally Anna Kayt gets to have some much needed quiet alone time! :)
