Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter! We had such a great Easter this year spending time with family. In light of all of the terrible tornados that have hit our area, it has really made me appreciate more the simple things in life, especially family. The day before Easter, we decided to let Olivia attempt to dye her first Easter eggs! Her favorite part was getting to color on the eggs with a magic crayon and putting stickers all over them :) We made lots of pretty eggs and even a few for our favorite people in the world, Wisa, Grumps, B, and Big John :)

After dying eggs we headed to the Millington's for an early Easter dinner. Olivia had so much fun hunting for eggs with her cousins Kaley and Karley. Kaley hid plenty of eggs for the girls to look for :)

Easter sunday we headed to my parents for a family lunch.
Olivia had a good time showing off and entertaining everyone with her dance moves.

Checking out her new Elmo Easter basket that she loves!

Grumps and Wisa with their newest grandbaby :)

Praise our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins. Hallelujah and Glory to his name for he rose from the dead to bring us eternal life!

My, How Time Flies!

Olivia Love is already 22 months old and I just cannot believe it. Having Anna Kayt has helped me to constantly realize how quickly time goes by and how she is not going to be my little 1 year old forever. As crazy as times have been, I am trying to take in every moment that I get to spend with these two precious girls. After all of the tornado tragedy that has occured so close to home this past week, I keep reminding myself how truly blessed that we are.
I wanted to post a few things about what all Olivia is doing these days so that I can look back one day laugh :) . Each day she is talking more and more and really turning into her own little person. She loves to talk, talk, talk in the morning! I love going to get her up in the mornings because she usually always has something funny to tell me and this can consist of her showing me her socks to telling me that she would like a pink hair bow in her hair, to naming everyone in our house. She loves to laugh and play in her crib in the mornings but the second that she stands up she is ready to get Out! :) She loves to repeat everything that is said, no matter what it is!! Over the past 2 weeks she has really started to attempt to say sentences which has amazed me! She is almost counting to 10 but likes to leave out 1 and 9? Not really sure why but I will have to say that her favorite number has to be the numer 2! She says it all the times and always wants to of everything, whether its candy, lovies, or sippy cups to play with :) She loves to tell me that she loves people "this much" while she holds her hands out. She calls Anna Kayt "sissy" and loves to kiss her on the head. I have not sensed any jealousy yet, she just loves her little sister. I think she is ready for sissy to be able to play with her!
Her favorite song has to be the ABC's because she will jut walk around the house singing it. She also loves Jesus Loves Me and when I sang it to her yesterday she started doing the sign language for Jesus :) Apparently they have been working on this at school :) Her favorite toys still have to be her Elmo toys. She loves silly bands, coloring in her elmo book, Wiggles, and her puppy dvd (Air Buddies). She could go to the park everyday and loves going to mothers day out. This little girl is just growing up so fast and is absolutely full of personality! She makes me laugh all day long with the things that she repeats and says. Can't believe my baby is about to be 2 years old!!
Mommy and Daddy love you 'this much' Livi Love!

4 Weeks Old

This sweet baby is a big 4 weeks old! It makes me want to cry to see that she is already getting so big so quickly. I feel like my days sometimes go by so slowly with 2 children but my weeks and years fly by!! I just don't know where the time goes? Anna Kayt has been such a sweet and good baby these past few weeks (minus her fussy time at night from 6-9.... not sure why it seems that so many babies go through this??) It seems like she has been a part of our lives for so much longer than 4 short weeks! She has been such a great sleeper from night one.... praise Jesus! He knew that I needed a good sleeper :) She has always had her days and nights straight which has made it soo much easier. At night we are feeding her around 10:00 and she is sleeping until about 4 or 4:30 and then goes back to sleep until about 8 or 9 in the morning!! Yay!!! She started doing this at about 4 1/2 weeks. Takes about 30 minutes to feed her and then she goes right back down. She is taking about 4 naps a day and thankfully I can just swaddle her and lay her in her crib and she goes right to sleep! I have been doing Babywise with her and I would recommend it to anyone!! She is eating about every 3 - 4 hours and eats about 3 -4 ounces each time.
I took Anna Kayt to her one month appt. today and she has definitely grown!! She is now 9lbs 12oz (57th percentile) and is 21 3/4 inches long (79th percentile) ! I cannot believe that she has gained 3 pounds in 4 weeks!! We got a happy and healthy report for her and she did great! Only one shot today so it was not too bad :( Olivia on the other hand enjoyed getting to go to the doctor and not having the doctor see her :) She sat in the chair the whole time with a sucker and had a good ole time!
Life with two has definitely been challenging and tiring at times but its the little moments that make it all worth while :) Happy One Month Anna Kayt!!! We love you!

Park Park Park

This is what I hear all day if I even mention the park to Olivia! She loves it and I think could stay there all day! Her favorite part has to be the swing and secondly the slides! This was our first trip to the park with both girls and I think that they both had fun :) Anna Kayt relaxed in her car seat while Olivia burned a lot of energy running around :)
On our way!

This is how high you get to swing when daddy pushes you :)
As you can tell, Anna Kayt had a blast!! haha

Anna Kayt is finally here!

After many many many long awaited months, Anna Kayt has finally made her arrival. We went into the hospital Wed. morning, April 6th, at 6am to be induced. :) After what seemed like just a few short hours, Anna Kayt was here by 11:22!! She weighed 6lbs 14oz and was 19.5 cm long!! We were shocked!! Her big sister weighed almost 2 more pounds than her and she was 2 inches longer, so we were so excited to see such a tiny baby :) (Which also means that recovery would hopefully be much easier... :) She has been such a sweet and relaxed child since the minute she was born. The Lord was smiling on us when he blessed us with her because she has been a dream come true. She very rarely ever cries, even at night, and since night one has known the difference between day and night! I am counting every single one of my blessings with her and pray that this continues :) She is such a good little eater and oh how I love those newborn sounds that they make!! I am constantly reminded when I see Olivia, how fast they grow up and how quick this newborn stage lasts. I am trying to enjoy every minute of it!!
I have had several people tell me that Anna Kayt actually looks like me...... I don't think anyone ever told me that about Olivia. :) She is my dark headed child and (unlike me) she seems to have very dark skin.
Life with two has definitely been interesting over the past 12 days. We have had 2 weddings that we attended. J.R.'s sisters wedding was last weekend, so Anna Kayt made her debute at the ripe old age of 4 days, and my sisters wedding was the following Saturday!!! Not to mention that Olivia woke up last Monday morning (my first day alone with both girls) and she has a 102 fever. So my mom and I loaded up both girls and headed to Peds. East to find out that Olivia had a fever virus and I needed to keep them seperated for 3 - 5 days. Oh goodness! On a good note though, Anna Kayt weighed 7lbs 2oz so she is a very healthy and happy growing baby! :)
Sometimes I just can't believe that I actually have 2 little girls! I hope and pray that they will be little buddies and can't wait to watch them grow up (even thought I don't want that to happen for a long time!) Here are a few pics from of the past 12 days :)

JR and his 2 girls :)
You know you are loved when your big sister shares her Elmo doll with you!

Heading to Heather's wedding with her Wisa :) And yes, she did wear her hot pink sunglasses down the aisle!

Our newborn pictures taken by Lindsey Walker! I thought they turned out sooo cute. She is also our ultrasound tech at my OB's office so I think that Anna Kayt has definitely changed a lot since the very first picture that she took of her at 6 weeks pregnant :)

Big Week!

This past weekend I was able to enjoy a weekend celebrating my sister in laws upcoming wedding! We had the lingerie shower and bridesmaid luncheon this past weekend so that next weekend, the wedding weekend, wouldn't be quite so crazy :) I was so excited to get to celebrate this time with her and I cannot believe that she and Payt will be married in just a few short days!! Here is a picture from the Bridesmaid luncheon with just a few of the bridesmaids....not sure but I think it is 19 total!! :)
We all wrote down a prayer or wish for Heather and Payt, tied them to balloons, and then released them. Such a cute and fun idea.

My mom and I at the shower. Please excuse the fact that I am 9 months preggo :)
Millingtons and Junkins

And some big news for the week in the Millington home is that Anna Kayt should be here for sure by this Wednesday! Yay!!! We are going in to be induced at 6am and I cannot wait! I am so excited to meet this sweet little girl and start out life as a family of four.... which sounds very weird to say! Look for some future posts on the newest addition to our family in just 2 short days :) I couldn't resist posting a picture of this cute little love bug :)

Big Day!

A few days ago we went with a friend to the zoo because it was soo pretty outside. The girls loved it and really enjoyed getting be outside all morning! I think their favorite parts were the monkeys, tigers, fish, and birds. They were amazed at how close the tiger was to them!

For dinner that night, we headed over the Chauvin's house to celebrate that Griff got into UAB for his Med Peds residency! Yay!! We are so excited for them and glad that he will be able to stay here in Birmingham. Olivia sure was excited that her friend wasn't going to have to move far away :) This is a picture of Nedra dancing with ML and Livi :) Olivia was having a blast!!
We then headed to the local carnival to watch Griff and his mom ride one of the rides. She was all screams the entire time!! haha. Then we headed to the slide and JR, Livi, Griff, and ML tried it out. ML was not too fond of it this time but Olivia had a blast. She squealed the entire ride down and when they got to the bottom she cried so hard because she wanted to do it again! She kept saying slide slide, and reaching to go back up it. Poor thing. We may have to take her again before they leave town. All in all, it was a fun filled day with lots of friends!!
