Anna Kayt is finally here!

After many many many long awaited months, Anna Kayt has finally made her arrival. We went into the hospital Wed. morning, April 6th, at 6am to be induced. :) After what seemed like just a few short hours, Anna Kayt was here by 11:22!! She weighed 6lbs 14oz and was 19.5 cm long!! We were shocked!! Her big sister weighed almost 2 more pounds than her and she was 2 inches longer, so we were so excited to see such a tiny baby :) (Which also means that recovery would hopefully be much easier... :) She has been such a sweet and relaxed child since the minute she was born. The Lord was smiling on us when he blessed us with her because she has been a dream come true. She very rarely ever cries, even at night, and since night one has known the difference between day and night! I am counting every single one of my blessings with her and pray that this continues :) She is such a good little eater and oh how I love those newborn sounds that they make!! I am constantly reminded when I see Olivia, how fast they grow up and how quick this newborn stage lasts. I am trying to enjoy every minute of it!!
I have had several people tell me that Anna Kayt actually looks like me...... I don't think anyone ever told me that about Olivia. :) She is my dark headed child and (unlike me) she seems to have very dark skin.
Life with two has definitely been interesting over the past 12 days. We have had 2 weddings that we attended. J.R.'s sisters wedding was last weekend, so Anna Kayt made her debute at the ripe old age of 4 days, and my sisters wedding was the following Saturday!!! Not to mention that Olivia woke up last Monday morning (my first day alone with both girls) and she has a 102 fever. So my mom and I loaded up both girls and headed to Peds. East to find out that Olivia had a fever virus and I needed to keep them seperated for 3 - 5 days. Oh goodness! On a good note though, Anna Kayt weighed 7lbs 2oz so she is a very healthy and happy growing baby! :)
Sometimes I just can't believe that I actually have 2 little girls! I hope and pray that they will be little buddies and can't wait to watch them grow up (even thought I don't want that to happen for a long time!) Here are a few pics from of the past 12 days :)

JR and his 2 girls :)
You know you are loved when your big sister shares her Elmo doll with you!

Heading to Heather's wedding with her Wisa :) And yes, she did wear her hot pink sunglasses down the aisle!

Our newborn pictures taken by Lindsey Walker! I thought they turned out sooo cute. She is also our ultrasound tech at my OB's office so I think that Anna Kayt has definitely changed a lot since the very first picture that she took of her at 6 weeks pregnant :)

Big Week!

This past weekend I was able to enjoy a weekend celebrating my sister in laws upcoming wedding! We had the lingerie shower and bridesmaid luncheon this past weekend so that next weekend, the wedding weekend, wouldn't be quite so crazy :) I was so excited to get to celebrate this time with her and I cannot believe that she and Payt will be married in just a few short days!! Here is a picture from the Bridesmaid luncheon with just a few of the bridesmaids....not sure but I think it is 19 total!! :)
We all wrote down a prayer or wish for Heather and Payt, tied them to balloons, and then released them. Such a cute and fun idea.

My mom and I at the shower. Please excuse the fact that I am 9 months preggo :)
Millingtons and Junkins

And some big news for the week in the Millington home is that Anna Kayt should be here for sure by this Wednesday! Yay!!! We are going in to be induced at 6am and I cannot wait! I am so excited to meet this sweet little girl and start out life as a family of four.... which sounds very weird to say! Look for some future posts on the newest addition to our family in just 2 short days :) I couldn't resist posting a picture of this cute little love bug :)

Big Day!

A few days ago we went with a friend to the zoo because it was soo pretty outside. The girls loved it and really enjoyed getting be outside all morning! I think their favorite parts were the monkeys, tigers, fish, and birds. They were amazed at how close the tiger was to them!

For dinner that night, we headed over the Chauvin's house to celebrate that Griff got into UAB for his Med Peds residency! Yay!! We are so excited for them and glad that he will be able to stay here in Birmingham. Olivia sure was excited that her friend wasn't going to have to move far away :) This is a picture of Nedra dancing with ML and Livi :) Olivia was having a blast!!
We then headed to the local carnival to watch Griff and his mom ride one of the rides. She was all screams the entire time!! haha. Then we headed to the slide and JR, Livi, Griff, and ML tried it out. ML was not too fond of it this time but Olivia had a blast. She squealed the entire ride down and when they got to the bottom she cried so hard because she wanted to do it again! She kept saying slide slide, and reaching to go back up it. Poor thing. We may have to take her again before they leave town. All in all, it was a fun filled day with lots of friends!!

Life

Here is a little snapshot of things that go on during the day at the Millington household. We are attempting to get out all of our baby things for AK's arrival and Olivia has been having fun with all of these new toys!! FYI, the outfit that she has on was what she picked out to wear. Her favorite Elmo shirt and her boots. She has become VERY opinionated about what she wears. We change clothes many many times a day!! Oh no!

What I found when I walked back into the kitchen. Can't believe she actually tall enough to reach up on the counter! I guess I am going to have to watch what I put up there!

She loves loves loves her Elmo bubble bath!

SG's Birthday Party

This weekend we went to one of Olivia's friends birthday party. The party was adorable and SG's mommy made all of the super cute decorations! SG sure did love her cake and opening all of her presents. :) They even had a fun little house that the kids could play in and during the party they all got to color on it! You may be seeing this again at Olivia's party in a few short months! What a great idea and the kids loved it!!

Melinda even made the board by ruffling streamers with her sewing machine!

Happy Birthday SG!!

35 Weeks

I have not been a very good blogger these last few months, and with Anna Kayt's big day coming up in a few shorts weeks I don't see it getting much better, but I am really going to try :) I have not had much time to blog about our new little one so I thought today I would do a pregnancy update! I stole this from a friend of mine that has such a cute blog so I thought I would share some updates this way :)

How far along? 35 weeks

Baby's size? According to the internet, she should be about 18 inches long and 5 1.4 lbs.

Maternity clothes? This second pregnancy put me in maternity clothes much faster! I have been in them since about 12 weeks :)

Sleep? I usually only get up about 1 -2 times a night. I am sleeping much better with this pregnancy so far. However, having the stomach bug twice in the last few months has made for a few rough nights :(

Foods I am loving? Anything sweet. I think that most days, I eat more sugar that actual food! I also love going to eat at meat and 3 restaurants and any kind of sandwich and chips.

Foods I am hating? Mexican, corn, pizza, and salad

Best moment this week? Feeling her move, hiccups, having Olivia kiss my stomach and point to my stomach and call her Sissy.

Other random thoughts? We are still working on getting Olivia's big girl room together so that eventually Anna Kayt will move into the nursery and Olivia will go to her new room. It is so much harder to get things done when you have an almost 2 year old running around :) Next week I plan on getting all the bottles out, washing clothes, and getting some dinners made and frozen for when AK gets here.

Movement? A lot! I feel like Anna Kayt kicks a lot harder that Olivia ever did. I don't think that AK likes it when I hold Livi because she will kick me right where Olivia is and it hurts so bad :) She is an active little thing.

Symptoms? Heavy heavy stomach and very tired! Lots of stretch marks and varicose veins as well....boooo. Oh well, hopefully all this will get better once she gets here.

Gender? Its a girl! Anna Kaytlin

Milestones: I think that for the most part she is fully developed, but she is just putting on weight now, getting ready for her Birthday :)
