Olivia had her 12 month check up last week and everything went great! We just love her pediatrician who is always so positive and uplifting :) Olivia's body type has definitely changed a lot since she was a baby. We used to call her out little chunky monkey, but I am afraid now that we have quickly changed that to our skinny minnie :) From the time she was born until she was 7 months old, she was always in the 80 - 90% for weight and height. Around 8 months she really started to drop on the weight end but keeps on growing on the height side. At her 12 month appointment she was
Weight : 21.1 lbs (51%)
Height: 30 1/2 in. (90%)
We have a tall, skinny, girl on our hands. She had to get her tow pricked but surprisingly didn't even make a sound. She just watched the nurse. I was so excited because I thought maybe she won't get too upset this time. But.... she screamed when the Dr. listened to her heart beat, when she layed her down, when she looked in her mouth, when the looked in her ears, and needless to say but when she got her 3 shots. Oh well. She did recover very quickly though this time. :)
A few things that I want to remember about my 12 month old :)
~Love to walk and crawl everywhere. You would much rather be walking than crawling
~Like to throw your yellow ball (the only color ball that she will play with) and then crawl to go get it
~Like to play Patty Cake, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and Ride a Little Horsey
~Want to feed yourself and will not let me feed you ANY baby food. Some favorites right now are pancakes, muffins, peaches, blueberries, cheese sandwiches, green beans, yogurt, beans, and peas. Some favorite snacks are teddy grams, cheese puffs, raisins, and goldfish.
~You are down to 1 bottle a day that we give at night. The rest of the day is sippy cup. You are not a big fan of milk out of a sippy cup!! Most of the time you will hold up your cup to see whats in it. If its milk you will put it to the side, but if its water you will drink it....haha
~Like drinking out of a big girl straw
~Think it is fun, when we put you down at night, to get up and walk around your crib and play for a little while before you go to bed :)
