She loves to suck her thumb so I have just given up on the paci all together. I use to try and ease her thumb out of her mouth at night and slide the paci in, hoping that she would take to the paci again but I have had no luck. Now she just gets mad and sticks that thumb right back in! Even though I would sooo much rather her suck a paci for her mouths sake, there is something soo sweet about a baby looking up at you with her thumb in her mouth. Melts my heart! We started her on rice at about 5 months and then started squash at 5 1/2 months. She has had squash and green beans so far and loves both of them! She would much rather eat an entire jar of baby food than take a bottle anymore. I think that she is so ready to eat real food though because she will just stare at our plates and try to grab anything off of our plates that she can (not that we let her eat it). I am ready for this one to be able to eat finger foods because I think she will be a much happier camper if she could eat like we do :) She loves to be held....all the time!!! The only places I can set her down and she won't scream at the top of her lungs is in her bumbo and excersaucer. Other than that, you can forget about putting her down unless you want some serious tears. Usually the second you pick her up she will look up at you and coo and laugh. Oh goodness!! She is a great sleeper at night. We try and put the girls down around 8:30 and she usually sleeps til about 7:30 ish and Livi until about 8. She is still taking 3 naps a day, one at 9 (usually 2 hours) one at 1 or 2 (usually 2 -4 hours) and another one around 6 (maybe 45 minutes). At her 5 month check up she was 15 lbs (40%) and 25 1/2 inches (55%). Happy 5 months sweet girl!!

Anna Kayt's Dedication
On September 3rd we had Anna Kayt dedicated at our church. It was such a small but sweet meaningful service. They came around and prayed over each child and we felt so blessed to have family and friends there to reach their hands out and pray over our sweet little girl as well. My prayer that I continually pray over Anna Kayt is that she will be a light to others in this world and that she will come to know Christ at a young age. I pray that she will turn into a mighty woman of God who will move her city in ways that no one has ever seen. I pray that many people will come to know Christ through this little girls life! I pray for safety, security, and that she will live life and live it abundantly! We thank God everyday for the blessing of being entrusted to be her earthly parents. We love you Anna Kaytlin!!

We celebrated with lunch afterwards at our new house :) This was the delicious cake from Olexas....yumm!
BFF
There are Olivia's new favorite friends! She loves her Buzz, Woody, and Jessie! Our church is doing an at the movies series and so they have all kinds of children's movie characters spread around. The first week Olivia was so excited because her absolute favorite character, Jessie, was there! Someone had dressed up as Jessie and I didn't think Olivia would ever leave her side! I so wish I had gotten a picture but it was the week of Anna Kayt's baby dedication so my mind was in a million different places. So we had to settle with these pictures the next week at church. :) Oh well, Olivia still loved to see them!!

War Eagle Hey!!
If I let Olivia pick out anything in her closet, she would quickly go get her 'Aubun cheerleda' outfit. She loves it!! We also have to always have on our Auburn bow, because what outfit is complete without a bow :)

And this is usually how most of our photo shoots end up, Olivia trying to love all over Anna Kayt! Poor baby! At least she has a big sister who sure does love her :)

This little one was just excited to be outside on a pretty day!

Food...Yumm!
For some reason with my second child, I have just not wanted her to grow up as fast as Olivia did. I used to get so excited when Olivia would do new things like eat cereal but with Anna Kayt I just get so sad that she is getting too big. I guess with your second child you really understand how quickly they grow up! A few weeks ago (sorry for being so far behind..ha) we decided to let Anna Kayt try a few bites of rice cereal. Like most babies, she was not a big fan of it all and just spit most of it back out. I thought for a while that she just wasn't ready for it, even though she was 5 months old, but the more I stuck with it the better she got at eating. She now Loves her rice cereal and we have started oatmeal too which she is still a little unsure of. :) Oh how I love those cute faces she makes when something just doesn't taste quite right. :)
